Gary Layda moved to Tennessee from Austin, Texas in 1974 and has been the official Metropolitan Government photographer since 1983. Although his original interest was in fine art photography, Gary now specializes in advertising, annual report, public relations, aerial and stock photography. His images have appeared in books, magazines, newspapers and on television around the world.
In addition to being a successful photographer and former instructor of photography at Vanderbilt University Sarratt Center, Nashville Tech and Middle Tennessee State University, he is also the proud father of triplet sons and has been married for 33 years to his wife Linda.
Gary’s work has been widely exhibited and he has won several awards locally, nationally and internationally. His images are an integral part of how the world views Nashville, and The Arts Company is honored to represent him.
