About the Exhibit:

Opening during First Saturday, March 1, 6-9 pm, the photographs offer current interpretations of the dramatic landscapes still found in the Western United States.  Park and Dantona each took separate photographic excursions to the West, Park printing what he saw in black and white; and Dantona in color.  The March exhibit will also feature the photography of Ansel Adams’ protégé Robert Kohlbrener in Classic Western Photographs by Robert Kohlbrener.  Kolbrener’s photographs offer a backdrop of photographs in the tradition of Ansel Adams, for whom Kolbrener was a protégé, friend and assistant.  Kolbrener still continues to work in the tradition of the time-honored methods of film and silver gelatin prints that he himself produces in a darkroom. The exhibits will be on view during regular gallery hours, 11AM-5:00PM, Tuesday-Saturday through March 28.

Jerry Park and Nick Dantona will discuss their work in a salon conversation about the ongoing fascination photographers have with capturing the Western landscape in new images, hosted by Nashville Arts Magazine Editor and CEO Paul Polycarpou in a preview on Friday, February 28, 5:30-7:00 pm at The Arts Company.
