FREE COMMUNITY CONCERTS

As part of its mission to bring music to everyone in Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Symphony announces its free Community Concerts series for 2014. Enjoy the lazy days and warm summer nights of June, bring your favorite lawn chair, pack a picnic dinner and immerse yourself in an evening of popular classics. This year, audiences will enjoy favorites from Beethoven, Bernstein, Copland, Cole Porter and Tchaikovsky, along with other well-known classical works.

Admission is FREE, except where noted, and all concerts are conducted by Nashville Symphony Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran. Dates and locations are:

  • 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Centennial Park
    concert sponsored by Vanderbilt University
  • 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at East Park
  • 8 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Bicentennial Mall State Park                    
  • 7 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at Crockett Park
  • 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Cumberland University in Lebanon*
    concert sponsored by Cracker Barrel Foundation
  • 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Key Park in Lafayette
  • 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Two Rivers Mansion

*Note: Admission to this concert is $5 for adults, free for children and students.
